The Department of Justice's Voting Section is pressuring 10 states to purge voter rolls before the 2008 election based on statistics that former Voting Section attorneys and other experts say are flawed and do not confirm that those states have more voter registrations than eligible voters, as the department alleges.
10 states receiving Voting Section purge letters are Iowa, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Vermont. Since 2005, the Section has also sued six other states or cities -- Indiana, Maine, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Pulaski County, Arkansas -- where purging voter rolls was part of the resulting settlement. Only Missouri fought a Voting Section suit, winning in federal court, although that decision has been appealed.
This blog will try to explain through links to articles, blog posts, news stories, videos, or whatever, to narrate the strategy of Republican voter fraud, led by the McCain campaign, in order to disenfranchise voters, and steal the 2008 election.

RFK Jr: Votes are being stolen
Check out this transcript from the Ring of Fire radioshow on Air America. It's hosted by Robert F Kennedy Jr. and Mike Papantonio.
"[Help America Vote Act] institutionalized a series of impediments that make it very difficult for democrats to register, for democrats to vote and then for democrats to have their vote counted."
"“For example, if I registered as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and yet my motor vehicle license said Robert Frances Kennedy Jr. I’d be removed from the rolls. If your initial is different, if you leave an initial out, if you leave a “Jr.” out, if you leave a hyphen out in your name. And what they’ve done is a study in New York that said 80% of the errors are errors that were done by state clerks who are taking down this information. And particularly immigrant communities that people tend to vote democratic, people have names…spell Muhammad with an “o” instead of a “u”"

E-Voting Problems
Looks like we're possibly going to face more issues with e-voting this year. This is another issue which could bring McCain closer to the victory line. Most of these polling problems will take place in areas that are largely Democratic. Remember Florida in 2000?

A Possible Narrative
So just over the last few days I've been reading up on McCain's political plays looking for acts that are bordering the criminal, or at the least down-right dirty politics. While there are MANY examples right now, in the thick of the McCain/Palin lies, I'm choosing to try to be a little more "conservative" in what information I post here.
What I am slowly seeing in just the few days since I started is a narrative, and possible scenarios that will bring McCain a victory in November. This is purely hypothetical conjecture at this point, so it will be interestingly scary to see how on-point this is.
Here's what I see happening. The Republicans will use voter suppression techniques in contested states to try to knock out as many Democratic votes as possible. This is because of the fact that there are more Democratic voters registered, and that (despite the Palin bump), Republicans aren't all that enthused about McCain and their party right now.
Voter suppression isn't enough. If the polls show Obama in a constant lead over McCain, and then McCain wins the election, voters won't buy it. There will be mass protests and calls for recounts and lawsuits filed to hold off certifying the vote.
The Republican's can't just steal the election. They've got to give the appearance that it was a hard-fought, close contest, and their candidate won.
The mud-slinging, the lies, and the Republican rumor mill that gave us such great hits as, "Obama is a secret Muslim," and "Obama refuses to recite the pledge of allegiance," aim to take off some undecided and easily gullible voters. And Palin, of course, looking to swipe some of the women voters. But that won't be enough to give them the win. They still need to resort to thier bordering-on-illegal tactics.
Oh, and just to scare you.. I thought this was a scary scenario if we shoot the tube and end up in an electoral tie!!

Manipulating Polls
While this isn't blatantly Republican/McCain, this is pretty obviously a secret motive for either corporate gain for Gallup, or for boosting McCain's positives. It seems that Gallup is being pretty loose in choosing which information to use in representing their polling results. The gist: after the Republican convention, Gallup used a slice of polled voters known as "likely voters," (which leans Republican because it reduces the number of young and minority voters), to paint the picture that McCain had a huge upswing in support after his convention. In reality, the poll just had a shift towards more Republican respondants.
"This was a deliberate choice by Gallup and USA Today -- to release a poll that would maximize the impression of McCain's bounce and help shape the campaign narrative in favor of McCain-Palin's favor."

McCain Push-Polling
McCain campaign targets Jews with misleading claims that anti-Jewish, terrorist organizations support Barack Obama. The smears:
- Obama has had a decade long relationship with pro-Palestinian leaders in Chicago
- the leader of Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, expressed support for Obama and his hope for Obama's victory
- the church Barack Obama has attended is known for its anti-Israel and anti-American remarks
- Jimmy Carter's anti-Israel national security advisor is one of Barack Obama's foreign policy advisors
- Barack Obama was the member of a board (sic) that funded a pro-Palestinian chartiable organization
- Barack Obama called for holding a summit of Muslim nations exlcuding Israel if elected president
Voter Suppression techniques
Looks like the Republicans are at it again. By now they've pretty well gotten their tricks down. In purple states, misleading, mis-addressed, and outright fraudulent mailings are going out to Democratic voters. Looks like these mailings have gone out to at least 1 million voters.
In Michigan, the Obama campaign is suing the Republican party trying to stop these dirty tricks.

John McCain is a criminal
I will be posting articles and links to information available detailing the crimes that John McCain and the Republican party is getting away with. I'll cite my link information. Hopefully this will paint a pretty clear picture of the techniques that McCain and his Republican cronies are doing to make this campaign close, and hopefully pull a win out of their bag of dirty tricks.
